FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
About us
No, we are not university agents. Omni Admissions forms part of International ACAC, and is a registered UCAS Centre. This means that we do not accept commissions from universities or other higher education bodies, as our only goal is to identify the best possible academic path for each student.
Omni Admissions is a company that offers educational consultancy services, from careers guidance up to the final choice of university and application. Omni Tutoring is a start-up company founded by Omni Admissions in London in 2020. It is based on an extremely innovative online platform and offers academic tutoring services (IB subjects, IGCSE, A-Levels, university subjects, SAT, GMAT, etc.) and coaching for essay-writing, interviews, and CV editing, among other things. The Omni Admissions fees are listed in Euro, while those of Omni Tutoring are in Pound Sterling.
Omni Admissions is a company of around twelve people, founded by Anna Maria Padula and Marcella Turazza. You can find more information about the Omni Admissions staff on the company website’s Team page. As well as the permanent staff, Omni Admissions collaborates regularly with a network of around thirty writing coaches. In addition, we also collaborate with specialised consultants for student athletes.
Services
Firstly, Omni Admissions proposes an Assessment & Orientation meeting, in order to identify the most suitable course according to the profile of each student. This includes: evaluation of the academic and extra-curricular profiles of the student, a search for the most appropriate course on the basis of the student’s goals and profile, a face-to-face consultation with the student and at least one of his/her parents, a follow-up report summarising the content of the meeting and the selected course/programme, with information on subsequent steps to take (admission test, language certifications required, deadlines and specific requisites, etc.). After this meeting, the student can decide whether to sign up for a consultancy package which guarantees support throughout the entire university application process, or simply continue independently, on the basis of the information provided at the meeting.
Each student is assisted by a writing coach who has specialised in the type of application process in question. The support team constantly monitor the work of the student and writing coach. At the end of the work carried out with the coach, Omni Admissions perform a precise proofreading of the written piece.
Our writing coaches are native English speakers and/or have studied or are currently studying in the best universities around the world. They have an excellent knowledge of the application process for the various universities, and many of them are specialised in a particular sector or type of application. Thus, each student is assigned a writing coach with the profile most suited to the goals involved in the application process.
Omni Admissions carries out a detailed assessment of the academic and extra-curricular profile of the student. To this end, the student must supply his/her most recent school reports, and a CV (if available), as well as completing a specific form. On the basis of all this information and a decade of experience in the field, Omni Admissions matches the most appropriate university to the student, taking into accounts the student’s goals and each university’s requirements.
For young people who are still not sure which university course to take, Omni Admissions proposes a psychometric test (available in Italian or English) which measures the student’s key aptitudes, abilities and character traits, thereby identifying possible study and career options. The results of the test are discussed during the consultancy session, helping to identify the course and future university choices.
Well, this depends on the student’s goals. For the choice of undergraduate course, the ideal window for university-focused consultancy changes greatly according to the country and programme selected. Students who wish to study in the United States need to begin their preparation at least two years before the application is made. Meanwhile, a student who wishes to study in Europe or the United Kingdom should begin making preparations in the second half of the penultimate year of school. These timetables can change greatly according to the needs and requirements of each student. If, on the other hand, the student intends to apply for a Master’s degree, we recommend contacting Omni Admissions in the second semester of the penultimate year of an undergraduate course.
Students who wish to receive all-round support in their application are flanked by a staff member of Omni Admissions who accompanies them throughout the entire process. Omni Admissions prepares a personalised package based on the needs and goals of each student, in which all included services are listed in detail. These include: creation of an extensive college list, support in creating a shortlist of universities to apply to (if not yet identified), assistance in online registration with the portals of the universities, the assistance of a writing coach for drafting motivational letters, CV editing, preparation for any interviews, etc. For more information or for a quote for our services, please write to info@omniadmissions.com.
Each student is flanked for the entire consultancy period by an Education Programs Assistance who in turn refers to Anna Maria Padula or Marcella Turazza, who supervise the entire process and intervene personally in strategic or key moments of the application.
Certainly, the staff member flanking the student will be responsible for contacting the university selected for any necessary clarification on the application process. However, there may be specific cases in which the university explicitly requests that they be contacted by the student or parent. In this event, Omni Admissions will still assist the student and family, advising on the method and content of communication.
There are a variety of scholarships with very different requisites according to the country, university and academic programme involved. Omni Admissions can offer an analytical study to identify any possible scholarships and assistance in the process, for an additional fee.
All our students receive a certain number of offers proportional to the number of applications made. This is possible thanks to in-depth assessment and matching of the student profile with the university requirements. Also, Omni Admissions always advises its students to prepare a strong back-up plan so that everyone can expect offers that fully respond to their demands.
